Lauren & Andy’s Wilderness reserve wedding

Wilderness Reserve Wedding Photographer

Lauren & Andy’s wedding at The Wilderness Estate in Suffolk was a real highlight of 2022 and has to be one of my all-time favourite weddings. Their day really goes to show that you don’t have to stick to the usual traditions or follow the norm when it comes to weddings. Lauren and Andy poured so much creativity and personality into their day, reflecting them as a couple. From the very start, it was clear they didn’t want a huge fuss, and they were just down for a damn good time, and that’s precisely what we had.

I first met Andy and Lauren when photographing their best man’s wedding in 2018, and we hit it off instantly. So when Andy contacted me in early 2019 about shooting his and Lauren’s wedding, I was thrilled. We met up for coffee and to chat about the plans he and Lauren were making, and it all sounded brilliant, ticking every box when it came to an epic wedding. It was at this point that he casually decided to drop into conversation that he, too, is also a professional photographer. Talk about adding extra pressure, huh?

Unfortunately, due to the s*** storm that was covid, the day was postponed by two years, but man, was it worth the wait. So many elements to this day made it as great as it was. From the hilarity of everyone listening to a killer set of speeches huddled under umbrellas in the rain to the carnage of the silent disco in the evening, it was bloody incredible. I could talk for ages about how great the day was, but I will let these photos try and do it justice instead.
